About the role
SkyNRG is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated People & Culture intern to join our team. As a People & Culture intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic, rapidly growing work environment. You will be involved in various People and Culture processes and projects, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of different aspects of the People and Culture field.
Your responsibilities:
- Get hands-on with HR essentials by helping prepare and organize employee contracts, addendums, and other key HR documents
- Organizing and keeping our digital (and occasional physical) employee files neat, accurate, and up to date
- Learn the full employee lifecycle by assisting with onboarding and offboarding activities
- Supporting new hire onboarding - think preparing welcome kits, coordinating Day 1 activities, and ensuring a smooth start
- Supporting our monthly payroll process
- Work with real HR tech by helping maintain and improve the accuracy of employee data in our HRIS
- Make an impact on People Ops projects by pitching in on ad hoc initiatives, process improvements, and other HR projects that keep our team running smoothly
- Recruitment for Internships and Junior Roles: Take full ownership of the process to attract, assess, and hire our next group of interns and junior professionals. You’ll gain hands-on experience in managing job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
- Onboarding: Contribute to the onboarding process for new employees, including organizing introduction programs and arranging necessary facilities.
- People and Culture projects: Actively participate in People & Culture related projects, such as the Event team, DE&I employee resource group, optimizing the Employee Handbook and supporting learning & development activities.
Your profile
As a growing company in a rapidly developing industry, we are looking for someone who likes to play an active role in building out our business and is not afraid of change. Ideally, you recognize yourself in the following:
- You must be enrolled in an HBO studies for the entire duration of your internship.
- Currently pursuing a relevant degree at the Bachelor level, such as Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Work and Organizational Psychology.
- Remain a student for the duration of the internship.
- Strong interest in the People & Culture field and a desire to gain practical experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Proactive, independent, and detail-oriented.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with Dutch as a plus.
Your skills
- Detail oriented/attention to detail - can spot small details/mistakes and can correct them in a timely manner
- Communication - strong verbal and written communication for both within our PC team and to work with different stakeholders (for contracts, payroll assistance, writing email correspondence, updating company newsletter etc)
- Strong organizational skills – can keep things organized and work effectively
- Time management – can adapt to ad-hoc requests as needed, knows how to prioritize tasks
- Data oriented – someone with an analytical mindset that can work with data on a basic level to support with data analysis if needed
- Creative/engaged - has good ideas on how we can improve our people processe
